INTRODUCING
THE IMPACT METHOD®
A BUSINESS OPERATING SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR IMPACT
The Impact Method® is an integrated leadership system for CEOs and their leadership teams. It connects your goals, the work required to achieve them, and the people responsible, with a regular rhythm for making decisions and improving how your organization runs.

"THE IMPACT METHOD® IS THE SINGLE MOST POWERFUL THING WE HAVE EVER DONE"

—— WHO IT'S FOR
The Impact Method® is for CEOs who:
Are are facing a growth moment but the way you work hasn't caught up with where you want to go.
Want to lead their team, strategy, and operations as one system.
Already have a strategic plan but aren’t sure how to turn it into the work their team does next.
Realize their current way of working can’t sustain the organization they want to lead.
Want to be more growth-oriented and forward-thinking, and need a way to make that part of how the whole organization works.
Are considering strategic planning and want to make sure the plan actually gets implemented.
I originally developed the Impact Method® for nonprofits. It works for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations because they share the same leadership reality: their strategy, operations, and team need to work as one system.
—— WHY IT'S SPECIAL
The One System Truth.
Your team, your strategy, and your operations are one integrated system. Not three. Fix them one at a time and you're playing Whac-A-Mole. Lead them as one system and the whole organization starts to work, without giving up the rest of your life to do it.
The Impact Method® is that system.
“
The two week sprints helped us change and adapt quickly and prioritize. I was able to put in more brain time where I could think, imagine and envision, which helped my overall focus.

—— HOW IT WORKS
Schedule three types of recurring meetings and follow their standing agendas.
Those agendas prompt you to use every tool in the method as you work through issues, review progress, and plan what comes next.
Together, they form the Cycle of Renewal. Your team learns the method by using it to do the work already in front of them.
—— A 60-DAY CYCLE
01
Weekly or every other week
An issue might reveal a roadblock, a tactic that isn't working, or an opportunity your strategy hasn't accounted for. Working through it together helps you improve the strategy, projects, and operational processes while your team practices being honest, bringing concerns forward, and solving problems together.
Held weekly or every other week, this becomes a repeatable way to identify and address issues while they're still small. The same core meeting structure works with your leadership team and within departments.
02
Every two weeks
Every two weeks, your leadership team reviews progress and refines projects based on what the work has revealed. With the workload visible, people learn what they can realistically take on and where they can help each other.
Your team gets better at managing its own capacity. Fewer competing commitments make it easier to focus, communicate, and finish the work that moves your strategy forward.
03
Every 60 days
Every 60 days, your team updates the strategy and plans the next cycle of work. You start with the outcomes you want, then choose actions that could achieve them with the resources available.
Doing this regularly develops your team's strategic thinking and makes planning a familiar process. People can see how issues they've raised inform the direction. And when circumstances change suddenly, you can use a Cycle Renewal immediately rather than wait for the next scheduled session.
—— IN THE RYTHM OR ON THEIR OWN
01
A visual mind map linking your purpose to desired outcomes, tactical goals, and projects. Your team learns to distinguish the result you want from the actions you can control. When someone suggests an idea, you can ask “Does it fit what we're trying to achieve?” That gives you a clearer, less personal way to choose the work.
02
A visual view of planned, in-progress, and completed work. It makes overload visible and helps your team focus on finishing. As people learn to limit what they start, they get better at managing their own workload and helping each other move the strategy forward.
03
A small set of meaningful numbers helps your team spot issues, understand capacity, and decide where strategy needs attention. Reviewing them regularly builds confidence with data and gives you a way to recognize both progress and the work of keeping things running well.
04
Your core belief, mission, vision, and guiding principles. These help you choose people who share what matters, select tactics that fit your principles, and give your team a basis for everyday decisions without bringing every question to you.
05
A map of the outcomes your organization needs, with one accountable “head” for each role and supporting “hands” roles. It clarifies responsibility, reveals hiring needs and overloaded leaders, and helps you assess where the organization needs to improve or grow.
06
A concise reference for your purpose, strategic priorities, outstanding issues, and focus for the next 60 days.
—— BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
Four weeks back every year.
Respite
Every year. Separate from vacation.
Working in 60-day cycles makes room for four weeks of respite each year, separate from vacation. We plan for that time as part of implementing the method.
Sometimes you need rest. Sometimes you want to explore an idea, learn a skill, or make a small improvement you've been wanting to try. I often use respite to take an online course simply because something interests me.
“Respite is part of the work” gives that space a place in how the organization runs. It supports fresh thinking for strategy, room for people to grow, and a working rhythm that includes recovery.
—— PUTTING IT INTO PRACTICE
You may need clearer roles before you can take on more work. You may need a working strategy, or a meeting rhythm that helps your team make decisions and follow through. We choose a starting point with the whole system in mind.
Some parts of the method do heavier lifting for your team, some for strategy, and some for operations. Every piece elevates all three simultaneously, so you start getting the benefits of integrated leadership right away, wherever you begin.
There are two ways to work with me on implementation:
—— SYSTEM INSTALLATION
Installation
Focused support to get the meeting rhythm going. I teach and facilitate the meetings, support your team as they begin leading them, and provide the on-demand masterclass. Additional facilitated workshops are available when you want my help developing the supporting tools.
—— AN EMBEDDED PARTNER
& Operations
I join your leadership team and introduce the method at a pace that fits what you need. I facilitate the meetings, bring my strategic thinking into the room, coach the CEO, and lead one focused project each month.
